Jade mats should be wiped with plain water on a regular basis to keep them clean. Because of their open cell format, the mats will absorb water like a sponge and the use of soap will affect their traction. If you must use soap, be sure that it is mild and that you rinse it out completely. Do not use oils, solvents or harsh abrasives. Hang or lay flat away from direct sunlight to dry. NEVER EXPOSE YOUR JADE YOGA MAT TO PROLONGED DIRECT SUNLIGHT and it will last for years.
