The right yoga mat can make a world of difference to your yoga practice. But the mat that's right for the person next to you in class may not be the ideal one for you. Consider a mat's features and your needs before you make a purchase.

If you're new to yoga and just trying it on for size, you may prefer starting out with an inexpensive sticky mat, like our classic yoga mat. When you decide that you're ready to commit to a practice, you can invest in a high-performance mat, like one of the Natural Fitness Professional Series mats or Manduka's Black Mat® PRO.

Our mats range in length from 68" to 85", width from 24" to 36" and thickness from 1/8" to 5/16". For an athletic, fast-paced yoga practice, choose a mat that is resilient and stable. For hot yoga or Bikram practices, choose a mat that absorbs sweat or add a yoga towel for extra moisture absorption and grip. For gentle yoga or restorative yoga, choose a mat that offers extra cushioning or try a cotton mat.

Mats come in varying weights. If you take your mat with you wherever you go, consider purchasing a lightweight travel mat. Totes made specifically for mats are a great investment for the yogi on the move, as are yoga mat bags that hold over-sized mats, plus all your yoga gear.

If you're eco-conscious, choose a mat made of natural rubber or a mat that is biodegradable. Natural Fitness and Jade Yoga plant a tree for every one of their products that we sell. All of our mats meet product safety standards; however, you may prefer one material over another due to allergies or other personal preferences.
